|
Here is the roll of honour for the "Bed Size Quilts" category in our 2004 Quilt Show. This is probably our most popular and hotly contested part of the show which again had a very high quality of candidates. Our judges spent many hours deliberating on them to come up with this stunning 1-2-3. |

1st: "It's Mine!" by Brenda Bailey "I started this when I was very new to quilting and found it very hard to make - nothing fitted. The quilting took me over five years. People kept asking me who I was making it for and the answer was It's Mine!" Machine pieced and hand quilted to a traditional design. This stunning quilt by Brenda not only won the "Best Bed Size Quilt" category, it also won the prestigious "Visitor's Choice" and also gained a "Merit for Hand Quilting". |

2nd: "Purple Delight" by Caroline Gadd "I made this quilt for a friend's daughter for Christmas. I started to machine quilt but didn't like the effect, so six weeks before Christmas I unpicked it all!. It was hand quilting right up until the day before, but she was very pleased with it." Machine pieced and hand quilted to a traditional design. |
