2006 Quilt Show Results - Under 18s
We are pleased to see so many excellent first-time quilts in the show this year, and the Under 18s were no exception. You might recognise some of the names here from last year, we are delighted to see that they have continued on with their hobby. The future of quilting is looking extremely positive. Thanks to all the entrants, you did really well!!!.
1st: "Scrappy Squares" by Faye Nash
"When in Florida last Christmas we visited an enormous fabric shop and I couldn't resist buying some sparkly and metallic fabric. I couldn't resist the cute cat fabric either. In fact, I spent rather too much money! I've justified it with "Scrappy Squares" though. It was lots of fun to make."

2nd: "Starlight Express" by Mary Burtenshaw
"My first quilt ever! It was started at Green Mountain with an Ohio Star class and then a Bugaboo Star class at Creative Quilting. I am age 7. Mummy helped me."
3rd: "Star" by Anna Burtenshaw
"This is my first quilt. It was great fun making it. I did classes at Green Mountain and Creative Quilting and Mummy helped me finish it. I am 9."
