'Rosebud' by Paula Doyle

2nd: "Rosebud" by Paula Doyle

I was looking through an old cross-stitch pattern book and came across this simple rosebud pattern which was even easier to do as a quilt block pattern using my trusty rotary cutter. Just goes to show you can find inspiration sometimes in unexpected places!

Machine pieced and quilted to an original design.

'Leaf' by Rosemary Budd

3rd: "Leaf" by Rosemary Budd

Made using an Anja Townrow pattern. The lovely lime greens remind me of all the favourite things in my garden - variegated holly, acacia and acer. I can't resist nipping and snipping my trees and I guess it was the same with this quilt. Great fun - and I won't have to sweep this one up when Autumn comes!

Machine pieced and quilted.
