Add a Border Challenge 2009/10

A sealed envelope border challenge is currently being run by the club and is open to everyone. All you require to begin is a centre block (square or rectangle) the size and design is entirely up to you. Every two months an envelope detailing a new border in terms of size, style and special requirements will be drawn - simply add this new border to your centre block and by September next year you will be the owner of a unique quilt. The total size of the new borders will be 20", so if you start with a centre block of 12" * 12" you will end up with a quilt of 52" * 52".

Quiltathon

On January 23rd 2010, we held our annual Quiltathon at Lyne Hall. The aim was to make a cuddle quilt to donate to a needy child, learn a new technique and get a free quilt pattern and free instruction from Paula Doyle as our thank you to you. This year we will be making an easy CREDIT CRUNCH quilt, as shown below. Given the final quilts will be donated the cost of attending this quiltathon is free.
