Tattler May 2018

Welcome to the May meeting of Thameside Quilters.

Unfortunately due to minimum numbers not being reached and the Royal Wedding on the same day, the committee has postponed the talk and workshop with Miriam Edwards. We are sure members would rather be watching the Royal Wedding. All members that had signed up for the workshop will be issued with a full refund so please see Sue.

Marianne stepped in at the last minute and will demonstrate how to make a Morsbag or Boomerang Bag.

Last month we had our AGM and Silent Auction. The group raised £127. We hope you all grabbed yourself a bargain.

Have a great evening

Quiltathon

This year’s Quiltathon was run by our very own Isabel Hall. We had a lovely day and learned how you can transform a simple square quilt top into an amazing Twister quilt. The quilts are then donated to the group to be distributed to either the hospitals or Project Linus. It was amazing to see the difference between the quilts just by using different colour choices
