Welcome to July’s meeting. Tonight we welcome speaker Mary Cunningsworth. Mary is a retired teacher and librarian and an enthusiastic quilter. Her talk tonight is on her quilting journey.
If you attended last month’s meeting some members took blocks away to finish them. Please can you ensure you hand your block to Colette or Isabel to be checked off.
If you went to Sandown this year you would have seen our very own Judy Stannard’s Quilt. This was an amazing entry from Judy and we are all proud of her entry. Well done Judy.
Paula was also there promoting her new book, called Easy Stack Quilts with a display of some of her quilts made using this method.
Sheila is back with her sales table with lots of goodies from the lady in Virginia Water. Hope you manage to get yourself a bargain.
We are half way through the year and this is a gentle reminder that hopefully you will have one quilt on the way ready for the Quilt Giving in November. This is where Quilts are presented by members in preparation for our representatives to distribute them over the following months. Is yours on the way!!
Have a great evening

Top Tip – Buying Precut Kits
After a long day at Sandown I purchased a precut kit online from one of the sellers. On opening the bundle so that I could stroke the fabric as we do, I found that part of the kit was missing. Lesson learned. Always check you have all the bits when buying kits.
